Thursday is the final day to order chocolate-covered strawberries for Valentine’s Day pickup. Please have all orders and payments submitted to the office by noon.

Please note that the church office will be closed on Monday, February 16. We’ll reopen Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m.

Next Wednesday, February 18, marks the beginning of Lent.

We invite you to join us for:

• Ashes and Communion from 8:30–9:30 a.m. (15-minute increments)

• A Lenten service following ROCK, beginning around 7:05–7:10 p.m.

For the evening service, please enter through the glass entrance only, as children will be dismissed through the 2nd Street door.

The Rhett Walker concert is coming up in less than five weeks! If you are willing to help promote the event and know of a church or business that could display a poster, please stop in during office hours or see me on Sunday to get one. Please also consider sharing the event on Facebook. This concert is open to all, and we are hoping for a full house. FAQs related to the concert are included below.

We are still taking orders for chocolate-covered strawberries! They are $10 per dozen and will be available for pickup on Saturday, February 14. Orders and payments are due no later than Wednesday, February 12 at noon.

Ash Wednesday will be observed on Wednesday, February 18. Join us for ashes and communion from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., or attend our evening service following the ROCK at approximately 7:05 p.m., with ashes and communion available.

Join us for a combined service on Sunday, February 22 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a potluck luncheon. Please be sure to sign up so we can plan accordingly.

Fish Dinners will begin on Friday, February 20, and will be held each Friday during Lent (except Good Friday) from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Call-ahead takeout will be available beginning at 3:30 p.m. Takeout meals are $15.

Buffet pricing is as follows: Adults – $18; Seniors (65+) – $15; Children (10 and under) – $13. The buffet includes select beverages and dessert (sodas available for purchase).

All proceeds benefit the Youth Group. Dessert donations are appreciated and may be dropped off in the kitchen on Thursdays during office hours or on Friday afternoons.

Save the Date! The 2nd Ave Kids Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Sunday, March 29, following the 10:45 a.m. service. This event is for children in 5th grade and under. Please visit the 2nd Ave Kids Facebook page to sign up.

Out of an abundance of caution, and the safety of our staff and you, church council has made the decision to cancel services on Sunday January 25, 2026.

Pastor Brian will be putting a video on Facebook about 10:00 a.m.; Jill will see if she is able to get it to YouTube for anyone who may not have Facebook access. One thing you can do to help us, is make sure anyone you know who does not have email or Facebook is aware there will not be services tomorrow. 

The church office will also follow the AASD and be closed on Monday, January 26. We will be available by email during regular office hours.

As winter weather is back in full force, we want to remind you that if AASD has a delay, the office will open at 10:00 a.m. rather than 8:00 a.m. In the event of a cancellation or virtual learning day, office staff will be working from home. Please stay safe and warm.

The Youth Group returned safely from their winter retreat yesterday afternoon and had a wonderful time connecting with one another and with other teens from the area. Thank you to the leaders and volunteers who drove and attended the retreat with our teens! Next up are the Youth Group’s Lenten Fish Dinners, their main fundraiser of the year. Dinners will begin Friday, February 20, and will be held each Friday during Lent except Good Friday. Prices are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors (65+), $13 for children 10 and under, and $15 for single take-out meals.

We’re only about a month away from Lent! The Youth Group’s annual Fish FRYdays will begin February 20. Volunteers are needed on Fridays to help with prep before 4:00 p.m. and to assist during dinner from 4:00–6:30 p.m. Please contact Nic Harclerode if you are interested in helping.

We’re excited to announce our 2026 Christian concert featuring Grammy and Dove–nominated artist Rhett Walker, happening Sunday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. Opening the evening will be Follow (local act) and Olivia Lane—national recording artist and host of SiriusXM’s The Message. Our Youth Group will be attending a winter retreat at Camp Manatawagon in Saxton this weekend. Please keep them in your prayers for safe travels and a time of connection and fellowship.
