Only two Fish FRYdays remain this Lenten season! Doors open at 4:00 p.m., with the buffet available until 6:30 p.m. Takeout orders can be placed starting at 3:30 p.m. Thank you to everyone who has supported the Youth Group during their biggest fundraiser of the year—we truly appreciate it!

Junior Church is in need of small bottled water. Donations can be dropped off on Sundays or during office hours—thank you for your support!

Easter flowers are sold out, with only three lilies remaining. If you’d like to reserve one, please contact the church office, as order forms are no longer available.

  • Friday, April 3 (Good Friday) – Join us for our Good Friday service at 7:00 p.m., followed by the start of our 24-hour Prayer Vigil.
  • Saturday, April 4 (Holy Saturday) – The church will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a time of prayer.
  • Sunday, April 5 (Easter Sunday) – Join us for our Easter celebration with a 7:00 a.m. service, breakfast from 8:15 a.m. – 9:15 a.m., and a 9:30 a.m. service.
  • Monday, April 6 — The church office will be closed.
  • Sunday, April 26 — Combined Worship Service at 10:00 a.m.
  • Sunday, May 17 — Combined Worship at 10:00 a.m. Join us as we celebrate Pastor Brian’s last Sunday. A catered luncheon will follow the service.

The only Easter flowers we have left to order are lilies ($17), and one mum ($15) is still available. Please get your orders in ASAP! 

Pastor Brian announced yesterday that his final Sunday with us will be May 17. We will have a combined service followed by a catered luncheon. Please save the date as we gather to thank him for his ministry!

We are currently looking for people to participate in our 24-Hour Prayer Vigil, which runs from Good Friday through Holy Saturday. If you would like to take a time slot, please sign up on the sheet in the sanctuary.

There will be a breakfast on Easter Sunday between the 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. services. The Men’s Sunday School class will be hosting. If you’d like to help, please see John Nihart. They do ask that you sign up by Sunday, March 29 so they can estimate how many to prepare for. Sign up in the sanctuary!

Important Note for This Sunday: Due to the concert, the nursery will not be available as it will be used as a green room and will already be set up for this purpose. Ashley has made the first classroom in the Elevation Room available as a cry room, with some supplies provided if needed. Thank you for your understanding!

We invite you to sign up and take part in this special time of prayer. You will also find a sign-up sheet for the Seder Meal, which will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Maundy Thursday. Additionally, both our Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services will be held here at 2nd Ave at 7:00 p.m.

Our Rhett Walker Faith & Family Tour concert is less than two weeks away! We are officially sold out of Meet & Greet with first choice seating tickets. However, we still have 23 Early Entry tickets available, along with plenty of General Admission tickets. Don’t wait—grab yours today using the ticket link below!

This year, we will be holding both Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services here at 2nd Ave. Both services will begin at 7:00 p.m. Maundy Thursday will feature a Christian Seder meal. Because this service includes food, a sign-up sheet will be available—please be sure to add your name if you plan to attend. Following the Good Friday service, we will begin a 24-hour Prayer Vigil. Friday, 8:00 p.m. – Saturday, 8:00 a.m. At-home prayer times. Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. The church will be open for anyone who would like to come and pray in person. A sign-up sheet for prayer time slots will be available soon. We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful time of worship and reflection.

Thank you to everyone who purchased strawberries for Valentine’s Day! This was our biggest sale ever, and we are so grateful for your support. All proceeds will go directly to the loan fund.

A reminder that tomorrow begins our Lenten journey. Ashes and communion will be available from 8:30–9:30 a.m. There will also be a service following the ROCK (beginning around 7:05 p.m.) that will include a time of ashes and communion. Please enter through the glass doors only for the evening service. These doors will be unlocked at approximately 6:50 p.m., as the ROCK will still be in session until that time. If you are unable to attend either opportunity and would like to receive ashes and communion, please contact Pastor Brian today to arrange a time to meet.

Fish FRYdays begin this week and will run each Friday throughout Lent (except Good Friday). Doors open at 4:00 p.m., and you may call ahead for takeout beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Services are at 8:15 & 10:45 a.m. Please note: Next Sunday, February 22, we will have one combined service at 10:00 a.m. There will be no Sunday School that day. The nursery will be staffed, and Jr. Church will be available. We look forward to worshiping together!

If you placed an order for chocolate-covered strawberries, this is a reminder that they will be available for pickup today, February 14, from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in the church kitchen. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Brian.

The church office will be closed on Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents’ Day. We will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m.

The Rhett Walker concert is coming up in less than five weeks! If you are willing to help promote the event and know of a church or business that could display a poster, please stop in during office hours or see me on Sunday to get one. Please also consider sharing the event on Facebook. This concert is open to all, and we are hoping for a full house. FAQs related to the concert are included below.

A: Yes, everyone needs a ticket to enter, regardless of age.

A: Yes! This is a concert. This will be much louder than Sunday morning music. If you are sensitive toward noise, we suggest bringing ear plugs.

A: No. Please think of this as a regular concert; there will not be childcare available and the nursery is not available for use as it’s transformed into a dressing room.

A: Please only small purses and handbags only. We will ask to see inside and there will be security present. There will not be backpacks allowed. We also do not allow food or beverages in the sanctuary (we have a water fountain and a water cooler available).
