We will be holding our monthly Food pantry tomorrow, May 27 from 11:00 am unit we run out of food. This is open to all Blair county residents, and you must have Photo ID. If more then one person in a car is asking for food, they must have their separate Photo ID.

During the Food Pantry our Children’s clothing ministry, The Hope Chest will be open.

Tomorrow, May 21 at 11:00 am, is our monthly soup & sandwich lunch.  Everyone is welcome to come in and have a meal, or take it to go.  This lunch is free for all.  

The church office will be closed on Friday, May 27^th & Monday, May 30^th. Beginning June 6, the office will be open Monday-Thursday. 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM. Jill will still be available by email Monday – Friday until 3:30 unless otherwise noted. Jill will also here on Sundays from about 7:30 AM until the conclusion of the 10:45 service, if there is something is needed and you can’t make it in Monday – Thursday. (Please note, during this time on Sundays, Jill won’t be answering phone calls or emails but she’ll be available for in person questions, etc.)

If you ordered hoagies or pizzas from the Marianna’s fundraiser (benefitting the ROCK for the 2022-23 session), they will be available to pick up on Friday, 5/20 at 6 PM. If you can’t make it, they will be in the refrigerator here at the church on Sunday. (The ROCK is not responsible for delivery or any orders not picked up.)

Wednesday 5/18 is the final ROCK for the 2021-22 session. The kids will be having a cookout and a special treat from Brainfreezers! If you’d like to help cover the cost for this end of year celebration, please put donations in an envelope marked “ROCK Celebration.” (Make all checks made out to “The ROCK”)

Sunday is our Fellowship Dinner at Hoss’s in Altoona at 5 PM; if you didn’t get a chance to sign up, but would still like to attend, that’s no problem! Please join us. (This is a pay for your own meal event)

Sunday May 8^th is Mother’s Day–we will have a small reception in the Gathering Place between services (from approx. 9:15-10:30) for you to fellowship and have some pastries & drinks.  Everyone is welcome!  

Sunday May 15^th is our Hoss’s fellowship dinner–we will meet at Hoss’s in Altoona at 5 pm to dine together in the party room; this is a pay for your own meal, but please reach out to Pastor Brian if you’d like to attend but do not currently have the financial means.  Please sign up if you plan to attend so we can give them a count of how many people to expect–sign up sheet is on the round table in the sanctuary or call the church office.

We are excited that beginning Sunday, May 1^st, Chris Ferguson & Jake Baskin will be the new co-leaders of the Praise Team.  If you have musical gifts you’d like to share, please reach out to them (or contact me in the office) and we will make sure to let you know when practice is. 

This Friday is our monthly Food Pantry day.  The pantry is drive-thru and begins at 11 AM for Blair County residents in need.

Beginning May 1^st, Jake Baskin and Chris Ferguson will be the new co-leaders of the Praise Band. If you have a musical gift you’d like to share, please reach out to them. (or let Jill know and she can connect you with them). You’re more than welcome to come check out a few practices and get a feeling for this ministry.

Pastor Brian will be in the sanctuary from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, for anyone who would like to come reflect and hear the crucifixion story. At 7 pm there will be a service combined with other local United Methodist churches at Greenwood UMC (1505 E. Walton Ave), all are welcome!
